Established in 2006, this institute is committed to helping students build knowledge that is necessary to having the understanding in passing the CPC Proficiency exam that will enable the student to gain employment throughout the nation as a certified professional coder.
Lynn has been a medical coder since 1987 and started out in 2003 educating physicians and their staff. For years, Lynn offered classes to certified coders to further educate themselves. In 2006, Lynn saw the need for coders in this fast-growing industry, therefore connected with the AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders), to teach their curriculum. Over the past 18 years, Mid-Atlantic Coding has had over 800 students taking this course, and successfully accepting the challenges of becoming a medical coder.
Lynn has over 36 years experience coding and over 18 years of teaching, specializing in the areas of general and vascular surgery in physician practices. Michael is the assistant instructor with over 8 years of coding experience. He obtained his CPC certification through Mid Atlantic coding in 2015, CRC certification in 2018, and his CPC-I (Instructor) certification in 2020.
Within Mid- Atlantic Coding, Michael is incorporated to provide extra assistance, tutoring, and guidance to our students. He provides essential information and encourages a full understanding of subjects to future coders. Michael is a valued member of Mid-Atlantic coding.

Colleen has worked in the health care field for over 34 years; in 2000, she became a Certified Professional Coder with the AAPC. Colleen started teaching at a local college in 2004 and in 2008 became a Certified Professional Coding instructor. She is also a Certified Professional Medical Auditor and ICD-10 Instructor.
